Consignment Policy

Consignment Policy

Upon opening an account at the May Court Shop, you will be assigned a Consignor Account Number that will be used to identify your items that have been accepted and sold.

The May Court Shop will accept a maximum of twelve (12) articles of clothing weekly. All items must be clean, pressed, in good repair and in season. Staff of the May Court Shop determines the acceptability of each item and its selling price.

Consignment clothing remains in the shop for a period of six (6) weeks as per the final pick up date listed on the item price tag. If the items sell within the six weeks the consignor receives 50% of the selling price. If the item
has not sold during that time, the consignor may retrieve the item by the end of the pick up date on the price tag, or leave it for donation. If the consignor donates the unsold clothing, the clothing becomes the property
of The May Court Shop and the consignor relinquishes any rights to the said item.

Consignors may collect their proceeds within one year of the sale of the items. Payments are paid in cash only. Articles are left at consignors risk. May Court Shop is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

May Court Privacy Policy complies with the Privacy Act: Your personal information remains confidential and will not be shared with any other organization.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) impact continues to unfold, we’ve had to make the tough decision to close for the time being.

We hope you’ll understand! In the meantime, we hope you’ll support all of the other small businesses in the OEV who work hard to make our community so great.
