NEWS RELEASE   June 5, 2017

Today the May Court Club of London distributed $53,750 of Third Party Funding to nine non profit organizations serving London area children and youth.  This year's successful applicants are:

The Beal Singers   Lifespin
Child Reach   LUSO
The Cinderella Project   Merrymount Children's Services
East London United Church Outreach (ELUCO)   Vanier Children's Services – Helping Other Parents Excel (H.O.P.E.)
Glen Cairn Resource Centre

The May Court Club of London's Third Party Funding will allow children, youth and their families to benefit from programs that:

  • teach nutrition,
  • provide breakfasts, lunches or snacks to children during the summer and March Break,
  • advocate for children's needs,
  • allow youth to develop self esteem by attending camp, the prom in style or singing for Canada's 150 Celebrations in Ottawa on July 1st.

These Third Party Funds along with the funding for 100 school nutrition programs throughout London brings the May Court Club of London's financial support for children and youth to approximately  $75,000 annually.  While we have been serving the community for over 83 years, says Jane Archer Smith, President of the May Court club of London, today marks a milestone for the Club as we have donated an estimated $750,000 in just over 10 years.

The May Court Club of London is the leading women's volunteer organization that provides support for children and youth in London.  The Club's mission is to nurture and advocate for children and youth in the community who are in need of social, educational, physical or emotional support.

Londoners are encouraged to support the May Court Club of London by attending its fundraising events, shopping at and donating clothing to the May Court Shop, or making a direct donation. On behalf of our members and all their hard work, says Jane Smith, it is indeed humbling to think of all the children and youth in London which throughout the years have benefited from the Club's annual financial and in kind support.  For more information visit
